scope of application

This series of dual power automatic transfer switches mainly consists of two KGM1 series circuit breakers with high breaking capacity and our company's self-developed dual power automatic transfer switch controller. It is suitable for Class I loads and some Class II loads that are not allowed to be cut off in high-rise buildings, hospitals, shopping malls, banks, fire protection, chemical, metallurgical, military facilities with rated voltage of 400V, 50Hz and rated current of 800A and below. It completes the power automatic transfer of the dual circuit power supply system, thereby ensuring the reliability of power supply for important users.

This product complies with the GB/T14048.11-2002 IEC60947-6-1 (1998) standard for Automatic Transfer Switching Electrical Appliances.

The installation altitude should not exceed 2000 meters.

The upper limit of the ambient temperature shall not exceed+40 ℃, the lower limit shall not be lower than -5 ℃, and the 24-hour average value shall not exceed+35 ℃.

The relative humidity of the atmosphere should not exceed 50% when the surrounding air temperature is+40 ℃. At lower temperatures, there may be higher humidity, and temperature changes should be considered to cause condensation on the surface of the product.

Basic structure

The automatic power switch is mainly composed of a power conversion execution circuit breaker. The switch has three status positions for users to choose from: the common power supply (N) is closed, and the dual branch backup power supply (R) is closed. The switch has the advantages of small size, light weight, stable operation, and easy use.

When wiring, the common power supply N should be connected to the common power supply executing circuit breaker QN, and the backup power supply should be connected to the backup power supply executing circuit breaker QR. When QN and QR are four wire circuit breakers, the wiring method follows the wiring diagram, where QN and QR have 1, 3, and 5 as the three-phase (A, B, C) incoming terminals, 2, 4, and 6 as the three-phase outgoing terminals, 7 as the neutral wire (N) incoming terminal, and 8 as the neutral wire outgoing terminal.

If a three pole circuit breaker is selected, the neutral wire NN of the common power supply (N) and the neutral wire NR of the backup power supply (R) must be connected to the three pole dedicated neutral wire terminal KG at the same time. Please refer to the wiring diagram for specific instructions. The working power supply of the dual power switch automatic controller is to disconnect the incoming terminals A and neutral wires N of the circuit breakers QN and QR. If a three pole circuit breaker is selected, the neutral wires NN and NR must be connected. The dedicated neutral terminal of the three pole wiring is located between the two circuit breakers. During the installation of the automatic power switch, do not forget, break or short-circuit the local controller wire originally connected to the incoming terminal of the circuit breaker.

Manual operation can be used regardless of whether the common power supply and backup power supply have voltage. When operating manually, the manual automatic button should be placed in the manual operation position. When the handle is pushed clockwise to the terminal, the backup power supply will open the circuit breaker QR, and the common power supply will close the circuit breaker QR; When the handle is rotated counterclockwise to the terminal, the backup power supply performs circuit breaker QR closing, and the common power supply performs circuit breaker QN opening.

In the panel, the power indicator light (red) is not on. If the light is not on, it indicates that the working power supply of the automatic control box is faulty and the switch cannot be operated. After the repair is normal, place the manual automatic button in the automatic position. If the common power supply is normal, the switch will automatically put the common power supply into operation to execute the QN closing state of the circuit breaker, and the N power indicator light (yellow) on the panel will light up; If the regular power supply is not working properly, the switch will automatically switch to the backup power supply QR, and the backup power indicator will turn off (green).

4. The load capacity cannot exceed the rated position of the switch, otherwise it will cause the switch to trip or burn out.

5. It is not allowed to mistakenly connect the neutral wire (n) to the phase wire. When using a three pole circuit breaker for both circuit breakers, the neutral wires of the common power supply NN and the backup power supply NR should be connected to the first pin (n) of the wiring terminal KG at the same time, otherwise it will cause damage to the switch. The grounding wire should be reliably connected to ensure safe use.

6. It cannot be directly installed for outdoor work, otherwise it will shorten the service life or cause adverse reactions.

7. It cannot be directly installed in flammable, explosive, humid, direct sunlight, high temperature, vibration, impact and other places. Otherwise, it will shorten the service life or cause the product to burn and explode.

8. It cannot be directly installed in places with conductive dust or metal wire intrusion, otherwise it will cause product damage or mechanical failure.

9. All requirements in the sample should be met, otherwise the service life will be shortened.
